As a motivated, hard working designer, my strengths include Illustration, logotype, layout and brand development. I have a strong sense of visual style, and enjoy a clean, sleek modern aesthetic, but am also very versatile. I studied Communication Art and Design at the Design and Arts College of New Zealand, and recieved my diploma in 2005.
I am an extremely competent designer, specialising in designing for print, however I do have a good working knowledge of HTML & CSS, and of using and customising the WordPress blog system. I believe these skills will transfer to any CMS, and PHP with little trouble.
I am confident and comfortable using the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc. Currently using CS5) and have experience designing for email (including MailChimp) and the web.
I am a huge movie buff, enjoy nothing more than to immerse myself in some great music,and I love going to see bands play live! In my spare time I have been expanding my skillset to include 3D modelling, which will be useful for making 3D scenes used for advertising. You may see some examples of my 3D work at
awesims.sixty-ten.net where I create furniture models for the Sims 3 game. I am also very interested in Mid 20th Century design – everything about it: the design, the clothes, the furniture, the architecture!
